AEI Targetkan Pertumbuhan Anggota di Triwulan II-2024

The Association of Indonesian Issuers (AEI) held its Quarterly II-2024 Performance Meeting on Monday (15/7/2024) at the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) Building, South Jakarta. During the meeting, one of the main topics discussed was the growth in the number of AEI members.

AEI General Secretary, Welly Salam, revealed that AEI is targeting more than 80 percent of issuers to become members by the end of 2024. This is in line with the increase in the number of issuers listed on the IDX. “By June 2024, 80 percent of issuers have joined AEI. "We hope this number will increase to more than 80 percent by the end of the year," said Welly at the BEI Building, South Jakarta.

Throughout the first half of 2024, the number of AEI members reached 646 listed companies, an increase of 1.57 percent compared to the first quarter when there were 636 members. In June 2024, the number of issuers on the IDX will reach 932.

AEI General Chair, Armand Hartono, emphasized various benefits for Indonesian capital market issuers who join AEI. These benefits include understanding regulations related to corporate law, capital market education, and implementing the principles of good corporate governance (GCG). “Issuers who have not yet joined can consult with us. "AEI provides a help desk to help them comply with applicable regulations," said Armand.

By increasing the number of members, AEI hopes to continue to support Indonesian capital market issuers in achieving better corporate governance standards and complying with existing regulations.
