The Indonesian Public Listed Companies Association (AEI) – East Java Representative held a Workshop & Sharing Session entitled “Strategic Corporate Secretary: Managing Transparency, Control, and Compliance in Public Companies” on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, at Mooz Hotel Surabaya.
The event was officially opened by Agustinus Agus Sunarto, Chairman of the Indonesian Public Listed Companies Association (AEI) – East Java Representative. In his opening remarks, he emphasized the strategic role of the Corporate Secretary as a key liaison between public companies, regulators, and stakeholders, particularly in ensuring information transparency, internal control, and regulatory compliance.
The workshop aimed to enhance the capacity and understanding of Corporate Secretaries in carrying out their strategic functions amid increasing demands for transparency and the implementation of good corporate governance (GCG) principles in public companies.
The session featured Sudin, S.H., Member of the Legal, Capital Market & GCG Study Committee of AEI, who shared insights on regulatory perspectives and legal aspects of disclosure and compliance. In addition, Wawan Heri Purnomo, Corporate Secretary of PT Pelayanan Nasional Ekalya Purnamasari Tbk, presented practical experiences and best practices in managing the Corporate Secretary function within a public listed company.
Through this workshop, the Indonesian Public Listed Companies Association – East Java reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the quality of corporate governance among public listed companies in Indonesia and enhancing the strategic role of Corporate Secretaries in fostering a transparent, credible, and sustainable capital market.
