AEI and IAI Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Enhance Financial Reporting Quality and Human Resources Capacity

Jakarta, 23 July 2024 – The Association of Indonesian Issuers (AEI) and the Indonesian Accountants Association (IAI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding which aims to improve the quality of financial reporting and the accounting and financial human resource capacity of issuers in Indonesia. This signing took place in Jakarta and was represented by Armand Wahyudi Hartono, General Chair of AEI for the 2023-2026 period, and Ardan Adiperdana, Chair of the IAI National Management Board for the 2022-2026 period.

This Memorandum of Understanding covers several areas of cooperation, including increasing transparency and accountability in the business sector through financial reporting in accordance with IAI's Financial Accounting Standards and Sustainability Disclosure Standards. In addition, both parties agreed to increase human resource capacity through outreach, training, education, certification and other mutually agreed activities.

In its implementation, AEI and IAI will carry out regular monitoring and evaluation to ensure the goals of this collaboration are achieved.

AEI hopes that this collaboration can bring significant changes in the quality of financial reporting and increase human resource capacity in Indonesia, so that issuers can operate in a more transparent, accountable and sustainable manner. Through close collaboration between AEI and IAI, we are optimistic that we can encourage better economic growth and create a healthier business climate in Indonesia.
