Jakarta, December 3 2024 – Association of Indonesian Issuers (AEI) again shows its commitment to supporting inclusive and sustainable economic development. AEI Executive Director, Mr. Gilman P. Nugraha, also contributed as a speaker to Panel Session II in the series International Seminar on the 67th Anniversary of the Indonesian Association of Accountants (IAI) which took place in Jakarta.
This international seminar raised the theme: “Embracing Sustainability and Technological Advancement in Accelerating Growth and Strengthening Economic Resilience”, which is relevant to today's global challenges and opportunities. In that session, Mr. Gilman conveyed the importance of integrating sustainability and technological innovation as the main drivers for creating resilient, inclusive and competitive economic growth.
In his presentation, Mr. Gilman highlighted the strategic role of industrial players and the financial sector in supporting the national sustainability agenda. He also underlined the importance of cross-sector collaboration to face global challenges, such as climate change and technological disruption, as well as to encourage the achievement of sustainable development goals.
“Partnerships between the public and private sectors are very important to create an ecosystem that supports sustainability. "By utilizing technological advances, we can accelerate the transformation towards a greener and more resilient economy," said Mr. Gilman in his session.
This event is a strategic platform to strengthen synergy between stakeholders, including accounting professionals, business people, academics and the government, in advancing the Indonesian economy. Through the application of sustainability principles and the adoption of modern technology, it is hoped that innovative solutions can be created that can increase Indonesia's competitiveness at the global level.
