Jakarta, October 6, 2025 — The Indonesian Issuers Association (AEI) in collaboration with the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) successfully held a Panel Discussion entitled“Beyond the Deal: Navigating Merger and Acquisition Strategies and Competition Regulatory Compliance for More Inclusive Growth”in the Main Hall of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
This event serves as an important forum for capital market players to deepen their understanding of the dynamics of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in Indonesia, as well as to ensure compliance with the principles of fair business competition.
The activity was opened with remarks from three institutional leaders, namelyKristian Manullang, Director of Supervision and Compliance of the Indonesian Stock Exchange;Armand W. Hartono, Chairman of the Indonesian Issuers Association; andAru Armando, Deputy Chair of the Business Competition Supervisory Commission. The three emphasized the importance of synergy between regulators, associations, and business actors in maintaining a balance between economic growth and legal compliance in the capital market.
The panel discussion featured competent speakers in their fields, including:Mohammad Reza, Member of the KPPU Commission;Named after Ni'mah, Head of the Directorate of Supervision of Issuers and Public Companies 2 OJK; andSetiyo Wibowo, Director of Risk Management of PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk.
This talk show session was moderated byGilman P. Nugraha, Executive Director of AEI, who guided the discussion in an interactive and in-depth manner, discussed best practices, regulatory challenges, and corporate strategies in implementing corporate actions sustainably.
The event was attended by AEI members, issuer representatives, and capital market players, who enthusiastically participated in the discussion. A question-and-answer session at the end provided additional insights into the importance of compliance in all corporate actions to maintain a spirit of fair competition and good governance.
