The price of gold bullion produced by PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam/ANTM) recorded a significant increase on Monday, January 12, 2026. The price rose by Rp29,000 to Rp2,631,000 per gram, marking a new high level.
In line with the increase in the selling price, the buyback price—referring to the price received by customers when selling gold back to Antam—also climbed by Rp29,000 to Rp2,484,000 per gram. These prices apply to transactions at Antam’s Pulo Gadung office in Jakarta.
According to Government Regulation (PP) No. 49 of 2022, gold bullion transactions are currently exempt from Value Added Tax (VAT). Therefore, VAT is no longer included in the gold price calculation. However, based on Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) No. 48 of 2023, gold purchases are subject to Article 22 Income Tax at a rate of 0.25 percent. PT Antam Tbk will issue a withholding tax slip to buyers in accordance with prevailing regulations.
