AEI Celebrates its 36th Anniversary with a Focus on Issuer Synergy to Build a Sustainable Economy

Jakarta, December 13 2024 – Association of Indonesian Issuers (AEI) celebrating its 36th anniversary with the theme "Issuance Synergy in Building Sustainable Economic Growth". This theme is very relevant to the government's ambition to achieve Indonesia's economic growth of 7-8% in the next few years. Major challenges such as global geopolitical uncertainty and the threat of world recession are obstacles that must be faced by issuers in the capital market.

In the midst of these challenges, AEI emphasizes the importance of collaboration and synergy between economic actors to create a significant positive impact on national economic growth, while still maintaining the principles of sustainability. With the number of members now reaching 665 issuers and continuing to grow, AEI is optimistic that it can play a role as a driving force for collaboration between issuers as well as a strategic partner for policy makers to support optimal economic growth.

Throughout 2024, AEI has successfully held 33 workshops, training and education activities which were attended by more than 5,700 participants. Apart from that, AEI also continues to expand its collaboration network with new strategic partners to support increasing the capacity of issuers and professionals involved in the capital market ecosystem.

As part of efforts to provide greater support for members, AEI also launched a consultation service through the Legal and Taxation Clinic. This service has provided solutions to more than 233 questions asked by members, with professional assistance from various AEI committees.

In addition, AEI continues to increase the exposure of its issuer-members through various digital platforms, such as the "Bincang Emiten", "Cari Tau" and "Indonesia MoneyVibes" podcasts, as well as optimizing AEI's social media channels to provide the latest and relevant information.

The peak of AEI's 36th anniversary celebration was marked by the inauguration of the newest AEI membership platform. This platform is part of AEI's digitalization efforts and will be a one-stop solution for members to access various information related to membership, administration and participation in issuer development activities. The full launch of the platform is scheduled for 2025.
