AEINews - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) will remain included in several indices related to Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) during the period June to November 2024. These indices include the SRI-KEHATI Index, IDX KEHATI ESG Sector Leaders Index, and IDX KEHATI ESG Quality 45 Index.

This success shows ANTAM's consistency in carrying out various decarbonization initiatives throughout its operations. Nicolas D. Kanter, President Director of ANTAM, said that the re-inclusion of ANTAM shares in the ESG index proves the company's commitment to sustainable business that pays attention to environmental, social and good corporate governance aspects.

Since 2023, ANTAM has implemented an ESG roadmap and various social and environmental responsibility programs that provide benefits to communities around its operational areas. To achieve the net zero emission target by 2060, ANTAM continues to strive to reduce Green House Gas (GHG) emissions through various initiatives such as changing underground mining methods, installing an emission control system at the ferronickel factory, using B30 and B35 fuel, and installing solar panels. .

In addition, ANTAM is switching from Marine Fuel Oil to electricity from PLN sourced from hydro for nickel ore processing activities and using co-firing for PLTUs in its subsidiaries, as part of decarbonization mitigation efforts.
