AEI General Chairperson Attends as Panelist in International Seminar with IFAC President

Jakarta, May 23, 2025 — The Indonesian Issuers Association (AEI) actively participated in an international seminar entitled "Future-Proofing Economies: The Strategic Role of Accountants in Turbulent Times" organized by the Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI) in collaboration with the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) and the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).

On this occasion, AEI Chairman, Armand W. Hartono, was present as one of the panelists in the main discussion session with Prof. Sidharta Utama (IFAC Board Member and IAI Board Member), moderated by Buntoro Rianto from PwC Indonesia. Armand's presence reflects AEI's commitment to supporting integration between the capital market world and the accounting profession amidst global economic dynamics.

Armand W. Hartono was accompanied by Gilman P. Nugraha, Executive Director of AEI, who also helped strengthen the organization's presence in strengthening synergies between the issuer sector and sustainable financial governance.

The seminar held at the BEI Main Hall was part of the official visit of IFAC President Jean Bouquot to Indonesia. The event aims to strengthen the strategic role of accountants in supporting the economy, especially in times of global uncertainty.

AEI welcomes the IAI initiative and hopes that this cross-sector collaboration will continue to be expanded to support a transparent, resilient, and globally competitive Indonesian capital market ecosystem.
