OJK, IDX, AEI, ADB, and UNDP Strengthen Collaboration to Advance Indonesia's Sustainable Capital Market

JAKARTA – The Financial Services Authority (OJK), Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Indonesian Listed Companies Association (AEI), Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) strengthened their collaboration to accelerate the development of Indonesia's sustainable capital market through the Sustainability-Linked Bonds and/or Sukuk (EBUS BK) Issuance Workshop under the GSS+ Bonds and Sukuk Accelerator Program.

The workshop forms part of the implementation of the Indonesia Sustainable Capital Market Roadmap 2026–2030, which aims to strengthen the sustainable finance ecosystem through the capital market while enhancing companies' readiness to utilize Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)-based financing instruments.

The program covered key aspects of sustainable bond and sukuk issuance, including financing opportunities, the latest OJK regulations, listing procedures at the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and the preparation of a Sustainable Bond/Sukuk Framework. The workshop also featured interactive discussions involving regulators, market practitioners, and listed companies with experience in issuing sustainable financing instruments.

During the event, Gilman Pradana Nugraha, Executive Director of the Indonesian Listed Companies Association (AEI), emphasized that collaboration among regulators, the stock exchange, business associations, and international development partners is essential to accelerating the growth of Indonesia's sustainable capital market.

He noted that strengthening the capacity of listed companies, improving understanding of sustainable financial instruments, and enhancing collaboration among stakeholders are key factors in building a more competitive, inclusive, and sustainable capital market.

Through this collaboration, OJK, IDX, AEI, ADB, and UNDP aim to encourage more Indonesian companies to utilize Sustainable Bonds and Sukuk as alternative financing instruments. This initiative is expected to strengthen the national capital market while supporting Indonesia's sustainable development agenda.

AEI remains committed to supporting listed companies through capacity-building initiatives, educational programs, collaborative forums, and strategic partnerships to accelerate the adoption of sustainable business practices across Indonesia's capital market.
