PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA), is Indonesia's main airline serving more than 90 local and international destinations, with more than 600 flights a day. This airline was founded under the name KNILM, Royal Dutch Indies Airways, during the Dutch colonial period. This airline was founded on January 26 1949 under the name Indonesian Airways, but then changed its name in December of the same year. The group operates a fleet of 202, of which Garuda operates 144 aircraft, and Citilink operates 58 aircraft.
