PT Argha Karya Prima Industry Tbk (AKPI) produces and distributes flexible packaging films for industrial use and consumer goods. This company was founded in 1980 as the first BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) producer in Southeast Asia. With its growth, in 1991, the company expanded its business overseas by establishing Stenta Films (M) Sdn Bhd and BOPET (Biaxially Oriented Polyethylene Terephthalate) production facilities in Malaysia. AKPI conducted an IPO in December 1992.
