AEI Supports CMSE 2024: Strengthening Stock Investment Literacy and Inclusion in Indonesia

Jakarta, 7 November 2024 – Capital Market Summit & Expo (CMSE) 2024, an annual event initiated by PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) together with Self-Regulatory Organizations (SRO) such as PT Kliring Penjaminan Efek Indonesia (KPEI) and PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI), officially taking place on 7-9 November 2024 at the BEI Main Hall. With the theme "I'm a Stock Investor," this event invites various groups of people to explore the world of capital markets and achieve financial independence.

The Indonesian Issuers Association (AEI) is participating in CMSE 2024 to support public education about the importance of stock investment and open opportunities for interaction between issuers and investors. AEI representatives stated, "AEI's participation is expected to open up new opportunities for issuers to interact with investors while strengthening the Indonesian capital market."

CMSE 2024 has been designed as an inclusive event, attracting hundreds of thousands of attendees, including virtual visitors from diverse backgrounds. The series of Road to CMSE 2024 activities started in August with 119 literacy activities in various regions. This event presented eight seminar sessions, talk shows and various MSME booths assisted by IDX Incubator in collaboration with PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (Persero) and the Ministry of MSMEs, as a concrete form of support for the growth of domestic MSMEs.

Various educational sessions were also held, including the "Financial for Parenting" seminar which aimed to equip parents in introducing investment to their families. Visitors have the opportunity to take part in inspiring seminars such as CEO Talk, Go Public Talk Show, and Sharia Capital Market Podcast. "We hope that CMSE 2024 will be able to provide important knowledge for investors and potential investors," said BEI Development Director, Jeffrey Hendrik.

CMSE 2024 not only strengthens relations between stakeholders in the capital market but also introduces broader inclusiveness of the Indonesian capital market through community participation at all levels.
